I always have the funnest times at Girls Camp!!!!! I get to be around all of my favorite people and even make new friends. This year at Girls Camp I ran into my friend Mckayla. We used to be best friends before I moved. We got to do so many fun things. Here are some of the things that I did not get pictures of:

Mechanical Bull Riding, nasty food, tiedying shirts, Pulling all nighters, swimming, skits, devotionals, awesome leaders, camp songs, testimonies, making bracelets, sewing bags, kitchen cleanup duty, dutch oven cooking, going down to lake arrowhead, going to an animal rescue center, and soooooooo much more!!!

The day after Haley and I got back to my grandparents' house after Byu camp we went on the boat with my brother Chance and my dad. We had a lot of fun even though chance had already been on the boat and new how to stand up while wakesurfing and we new nothing!!! I stood up twice but only for about fine seconds. All the other times I could only get onto my knees!!! When you wakesurf you start lying down, then you get on your knees, and when you are ready you can stand up.....Haley never even got to the knees part!!!

byu soccer camp.

Last week I went to a BYU soccer camp up in utah with one of my good friends haley alvarado.

We stayed in a dorm together for four days. It was the best. we had soooo much fun and there were two best things about the whole camp and they were the playing soccer all day and the wonderful, gourmet food. WE also got to meet a lot of nice girls and the members of the BYU girls soccer team!!!

For the past two months I have been painting and redesigning my room with the help of my mom. So far it has turned out great. We just need to make some finishing touches. Like painting the top of the walls, hanging up all of the pictures, clock, and mirrors, and buying some little things that will finish of my new room!!!!

bucket pool.

This is the bucket pool. In the summer we go here a lot with our family best friends,the Profanciks. We call it the bucket pool because every minute a large bucket fills up with water and dumps on the whole park. Blake doesn't like that very much, but she does like to sit at the very edge of the pool.

But she stayed here most of the time......

I love these girls right here. They are my best friends and we are truly CALIFORNIA GURLS!!!! I have made an announcement to all of these girls that " California Gurls" ( number 47 n my playlist) is our life's theme song. Usually I would never listen to Katy Perry, but I love this song and it totally defines us California Girls!! Love you guys always and FOREVER!!!!

Yesterday I graduated From 7th Grade!!!! I was the best Day!!!! I want all of my friends to know tat I love them soooooo much and that I always will. See you guys next year!!!

This week we went to legoland with our cousins and got to skip school!! We were so excited to spend time at this theme park. Too bad our parents couldnt come. Mom was at home because she didn't think that Blake would like it ( we thought that she would love it).

Today was nerd day. Everyone dressed up. We wore just about everything. Suspenders' geeky glasses, shirts with ' I love nerds', and knee high socks. Gabby, Jenna and I made up songs for our nerdiness:

Memorial Day

Because dad had surgery we could not spend the whole together as a family. At 11 we went to the pool until 1. Blake had soooo much fun when she jumped off of the edge into my arms and swan around with me and ate candy when we got out to dry off. We ate lunch at home. At 5 we made a trek to SWIRLZ ( only about a two miles there and two miles back). We had a lot of fun running around, playing games, and watching Blake run was the best part. She runs while bobbing her shoulders up and down and galloping all at the same time. It was so funny I think that even my mom almost peed her pants. I think Blake had the most fun today, I mean going to the pool, running around, and eating ice cream!!

Dad's Update

As you know my dad had surgery. He came home the first day and was doing fine with much equipment around his knee. On Friday we left him home to go to a surf shop sale...... we got a lot of clothes AND EVERYTHING WAS 50% OFF!!! On Saturday I had a Soccer tournament and of course my dad had to come, even though he was not supposed to leave the house. The next day he was sooooo sick (probably from going to my soccer game). Well my mom could not leave my dad home to go to sacrament so she dropped me and my siblings to the last two hours and then picked us up when church ended.

Surgery

Last Thursday my dad had surgery. He had surgery because about 3 months ago he tore his ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) while playing in a men's indoor soccer league with some of his buddies from church. He tore his ACL while planting his foot to shoot the ball, but as he landed his knee gave out. Since then he has been limping everywhere. I think that being a physical Therapist helped him to know what to do and how to treat it. The ACL is a ligament in your knee that helps keep your tibia from moving forward onto your femur. When you fully tear your ACL, which is what my dad did, you need surgery to restore your knee to its original function. How do I know so much about Acl tears you ask??? Well, in science we had to do a Health Research Report with a research board and since dad had torn his ACL I decided it would be fun to learn more about what had happened to him ( I could also interview him which would have given me extra credit:). {When I get a new camera I will post a picture of what my board looks like. ( trust me it looks soooooo awesome)}

Still more to Learn

-Blake has learned a lot since she has been born. She loves everyone!!! She isn't even scared to go to nursery. We think it is because she has been around new people a ton and gets to know any one pretty well.

Blake's Words

1. dada- this word means many different things. First of all it means dad. It sometimes means Lexa because she hasn't quite found out how to say Alexa yet. It also means what is this, hair, ears, toes, door, seat, etc. ( "mama" means mom)

2. eyes

3. no- nose

4. moooo- What does a cow say Blakey?

5. gitty- another word for kitty

6. ru- What does a dog say?

7. Lala- Lila ( Blake's best friend) don't ask me how she figures out how to say her name because I do not know. We think it is because they spend so much time together

8. Up- this word basically means up. Sometimes it means " get up and follow me around",or " Get me up on the couch", or even "Put me up on the stairs so that I can jump and you can catch me!!!"

9. Blake knows many more words and will learn even more.......I just don;t want to be sitting here all day jotting down her words

- Blake was in the car heading to the grocery store with mommy while listening to this song......now all day we hear.... ga ga ra ra raaa ga ga la la

Dr. Funny- a.k.a. Dane

Dane says to my mom," Mom do you think that I am funny?" Mom replies," yes Dane, I think that you are very funny." Dane says back," Well, then you can just call me Dr. Funny!!"

DANE'S DR. FUNNY JOKES

1. DANE: "Chance, Tommy came over to ask if you could play today."

CHANCE: " Tommy who?"

DANE: " TOMMY TOOTER!!!!"

2. CHANCE: " Mom, who was my old soccer coach?"

DANE randomly says: " Chance, WHO'S YOUR MASTER?!?!?!?!?"

UHHH!!!! Great, my memory card is broken....... I cannot believe this. I just started a blog and a goal ( to post at least every week) and now i cannot take any pictures. Lets hope that soon i will be able to get a new memory card and then take pictures and upload them to these posts without pictures. I have very funny pictures of Blake in the bath tub so hopefully you will be seeing those soon!!!!!

Boring School

This is Jenna during Spanish. We have the worst teacher in the world. She teaches us nothing. That is how we took this picture during class because she doesn't notice anything. She "hurt" her arm the other day and to be funny she said that she was attacked by a bear. REAL FUNNY MAESTRA CRUZ!!!!!!

Meet the Boys

Here are the boys. The annoying and playful people that run around the house. On the left you can see my dad, Trace Patric Power. He is also known as the soccer expert that tells me every single thing that I need to know about the game. He is also very protective and loving. In the middle is Chance Garry Power. The most annoying, playful, and energetic person that I have ever met. Although he is my little bother I am forced to love him. jk.:) On the right is Dane Patric Power. The only soft and truley loving boy that I know. There must be some reason why all of the babies love him the most.

Meet the Girls

I have a great family with great loving parents and spirited siblings. On the far left is me, writing this blog. In the middle is the cutest baby I have ever seen. Her name is Blake Emory Power and is also my sister. She is so fun to have around and brings so much joy to the family. I think that by the time she gets older the only thing that she will know is how to give hugs because that is the only thing that she is given - day and night. On the right is my mom, Leslie Elizabeth Power. Who loves and cares for everyone. She is the best mom I could ever ask for. And on the left is me, Alexa Tate Power.

May 9th 2010 My New Blog

Today I was inspired to create my own private blog that only I will be able to access. My Young Womens leader, Cara Cragun, spoke on the importance of keeping journals. I have also decided to create a ten hour project using labeled alphabetically for important things that I will hope to always remember.
